Terrace. Finding layers in a new place and space.

Eden Terrace, a fast- changing area in Auckland’s city fringe, became the new home of Milk in 2018. A year on, the studio wanted to mark the milestone by celebrating with clients, not only the change in surroundings, but also change in nature and scale of the work achieved together.

The gift idea was Terrace, jointly inspired by the area and Milk’s own vine shrouded terrace building. This resulted in a bespoke wine made in collaboration with client Framingham. Topographic meets typographic with custom typography, designed using a terrace inspired letter structure, creating highs and lows to form each letter, stacked on top of each other. There’s layers of connection found between land and typography that says change and growth. A one-off reflection of Milk’s commitment to craft and storytelling.
