Research & Insight

We are a metric driven agency. We believe design is redundant without results. Our research and insights process has been created to make sure there is no ambiguity in our decision making, enabling us to tightly connect what we do to desired audiences. We dig deep to understand businesses and portfolios to make sure we have the same level of understanding as our clients. If we don’t, then we’re guessing.

We conduct interviews internally and externally, we run workshops, and we research industries and categories. We articulate the financial forces that drive businesses, we define advantages (USP’s), opportunities, barriers and audiences. We bring this data together to define the core meaningful insights that bring rigour, truth and accuracy to all our decision making.

Brand Strategy

With an intimate knowledge of the business and industry, we’re able to combine this with our 20 years of experience to articulate an internal belief set – bringing meaning and purpose to businesses, their people and the services or products they offer.

Brand Strategy is a critical component that brings clarity of purpose across all people and touchpoints. It’s the centre of culture and behaviour, and it sets the stage for brand communications. Keeping it simple and practical, we work with the more pivotal parts of a brand strategy – vision, values, pillars, benefits and purpose.

Creative Strategy

With a deep understanding of the business, its people and philosophies, we’re able to translate this into the more emotive side – the creative strategy. A creative strategy is where we bring an external lens to the brand, building personality, character and external narrative. It’s also where we set the all important brand idea – the governing idea that influences everything.

If the Brand Strategy is the internal core belief set, then the creative strategy is the external version, defined for a businesses audiences, capturing the hearts and minds of those they seek to influence.

Identity System

With total strategic clarity, we’re able to translate everything we’ve learned into a visual expression. Identity Systems are equal part creativity and logic. We drive the brand idea in all 5 components of an identity system – logo, colour palette, imagery, typography and graphic system. This brings complete cohesion across the brand and all touchpoints.
